BAE systems reports strong 2005 results

Defense contractor BAE and Northrop Grumman Corporation of California are implementing leading roles under prime contractor Lockheed Martin Corporation in the largest defense contract ever awarded. That is the US Department of Defense plan to purchase $256 billion worth of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft for the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, a program the United Kingdom has joined s co-developer and likely as customer.

Senate panel to probe FCS, C-130J programs

Article Abstract:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) is planning another program led by the Boeing Co., the Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) due to unearthed problems in the Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft program. McCain is poised to take testimony critical of FCS from the Project on Government Oversight (POGO), which asserts that the Pentagon improperly used a type of contracting procedure on FCS.

Boeing, IBM eye $200 billion Pentagon market for IT
