BTG

Article Abstract:

BTG has seen a strong rise in its share price since the company's flotation in Jul 1995 and has long-term potential despite reporting losses. The company's income includes down payments and royalty revenues from products such as Tomdex, an anti-cancer treatment, and Cervidil, a pessary. BTG faces the short-term problem of the ending of royalties from Pyrethrin, an insecticide. The company has made an interim profit for the six months to Sep 30 1996 but is likely to report a loss for the full year, and investors may take profits.
