Bankers investment trust

Article Abstract:

Bankers investment trust is involved in active investment, and takes a long-term approach. Most of the portfolio is accounted for by stocks in large companies, though smaller UK companies are also represented. Bankers Trust is a value investor with a good long-term performance record. Michael Mouleis the lead fund manager, and the net asset value of the trust has gorownby more than the FTSE All Share in the decade to 1998. The trust would be hit if Moule were to leave, though he says that he intends to stay for a minimum of nine years.

Fidelity European Values investment trust

Fidelity European Values investment trust has Anthony Bolton as its lead fund manager. He has been working at Fidelity since 1979, and is a value investor seeking recovery and undiscovered stock. Fidelity fund managers tend to have a great deal of autonomy. European Values is a highly rated trust and its stocks often reach a premium in relation to net asset value. The trust has performed solidly since it was begun in 1991. Mainland Europe is also seen by some analysts in positive terms.

Dartmoor Investment Trust

Dartmoor Investment Trust has Chris Whittingslow as its lead fund manager, and the trust aims to provide increasing income as well as capital growth. The trust's main 10 holdings include Scottish National income shares and Guinness Flight Extra Income ordinary shares. The trust has underperformed the FTSE All Share index since it was launched in April 1990s, though it has performed better than other high-income trusts in the United Kingdom, and has the highest yield for its sector.
