Banks versus venture capital: project evaluation, screening, and expropriation

Article Abstract:

A study examining the causes behind the raising of funds by some companies from banks and others from venture capital firms, using a mode is presented. In the model, it is confirmed that venture capitalists can accurately evaluate the needs of the firms in comparison to banks, but can also provide threat of stealing the firm.
