Warner Brothers has achieved a success with its Batman Forever movie which has had the most successful launch of any motion picture. The company launched the movie in Jun 1995, and it has taken $52.8 million, around $2.6 million above the figure for Jurassic Park. Walt Disney, meanwhile, is planning to launch Pocahontas in Jun 1995, and this may not perform as well as the Lion King performed in 1994. Competition is increasing in the industry, and distributors could put pressure on the margins of studios.
