Beneficial Corp. - BNL

Article Abstract:

Five insiders revealed plans to sell a total of 232,200 shares of Beneficial Corp. stock in Jan. 1995. This development surprised many analysts, since the number of stocks the insiders are planning to sell far exceed the average annual sales of the company, which reaches around 65,363 shares. When added to the number of shares sold in Dec. 1994, the figure rises to 247,700 shares valued at around $39 each. Analysts are also confused as to why these sales are being made, considering that Beneficial shares have started recovering after languishing for a long time in the $34 range.
