C-130J may gain new lease on life: Rumsfeld

Article Abstract:

The beleaguered Air Force C-130J transport aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin Corp., the largest defense contractor might revive to some extent. Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense stated that the budget may be amended in order to address the C-130J funding issue and if a review concludes that aircraft program should be continued at full or substantial funding levels, then they would make up for the money, and if need be would take funds from other programs.
