Corporate Services is a UK company specialisingin training and the supply of contract labor. The company is benefiting from a trend towardincrease usage of contract labor and the UK market for recruitment is worth some 5 billionpounds sterling annually. The company is also building up longer term contracts which helpsease the cyclical impact of changes in demand for personnel. Training is an aid to this provisionof long-term personnel, and the UK training market is worth some 20 billion pounds sterlingannually.

Recruiters in a red-hot market

Article Abstract:

A number of recuitment consultants are seeking a listing on the UK stock market, and they could be overpriced, according to Michael Page's chief executive, Terry Benson. Interim Services has made a bid for Page, placing its value at 346 million pounds sterling. Benson sees the sector as cyclical and probably past the peak it is current cycle. There are difficulties in finding enough candidates for posts and no fees can be charged unless posts are filled.
