Challenges for long-term care insurance in a rapidly changing world

Article Abstract:

The author discusses real or perceived problems with long-term care insurance and suggests changes the industry could make to increase its use in the future. People are reticent concerning long-term care insurance for reasons which include coverage issues and cost. The industry should change policies to address these issues.

No load insurance and trustee duties under the prudent investor rule

Article Abstract:

Fiduciary duty issues concerning trust-owned life insurance policies are examined with a focus on the Uniform Prudent Investor Rule. The author suggests that trust law is in need of modernization to provide adequate guidance to trustees.
