Combinatorial engineering of intergenic regions in operons tunes expression of multiple genes

Article Abstract:

A method for tuning the expression of multiple genes within operons by generating libraries of tunable intergenic regions (TIGRs), recombining different post-transcriptional control elements and screening regarding the described relative expression levels is described. This method may be useful for optimizing the expression of multiple genes in synthetic operons in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

A high-throughput alphavirus-based expression cloning system for mammalian cells

Article Abstract:

Researchers in Switzerland developed an expression cloning system called DELphi (discovery of localized proteins) that could sift through genes databases to find gene's functions, and therefore provide valuable information for developing new drugs.
