Compudyne system protects Navy ships and ports

Article Abstract:

The Navy is using an 'invisible fence' system made up of radars, sonars and cameras to protect the ships and ports from terrorist attacks. The Waterside Sentry System developed by the CompuDyne Corp. of Hanover, Maryland, integrates information from various sensors to warn the crews about intruders near ships, shore facilities and other potential targets like offshore oil rigs.

Multi-billion MUOS award stalls as navy delays award

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Navy postponed decisions on awarding the multi-billion-dollar contract for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The contract is expected to be worth multi-billions and the overall value of MUOS would come to more than $6 million.
