Article Abstract:

Rene Dallaire became a quadriplegic at the age of 19 when he joined the regional ski competition in Quebec in preparation for the prestigious World Cup circuit. He went to a community college to study business administration. He chose the accountancy profession and joined Clarkson Gordon. A grant from the Quebec Paraplegic Assn. enabled him to pursue his career successfully. He was able to become the director of administrative services and assistant to the general director of the Institut de readaptation de Montreal by obtaining his MBA.

Remi Marcoux's rise from humble beginnings as an electronics technologist to the top post at GTC Transcontinental Group Ltd is traced. An accounting degree earned by attending night school led to a job at Thorne, Gunn & Co. Subsequently, he was offered control of Quebecor Inc's publications distribution, a client of the accounting firm. Remi Marcoux's entrepreneurial skills were sharpened while at Quebecor, and, after six years, he was ready to establish his own company, GTC Transcontinental Group Ltd.

Leclerc also points out that her job allows her to enjoy the cultural and artistic life of the city of Montreal.
