Corporate paper outlines needed steps to reach net-centricity

Article Abstract:

The users and managers of the US Department of Defense (DOD) must take several specific steps to ensure that their systems move toward net-centric operations. The five steps needed to be taken to ensure net-centricity include definition considering net-centric perceptive, comparison to other services, capabilities, adaptation of program capability, decision to determine net centricity program and net centricity program's entrance and substainment in the net-centric environment.

Pentagon pursues network centric operations at low cost

Article Abstract:

The Department of Defense (DOD) and service branches are working hard to bring war fighters the latest information technology (IT) without making any major increases in the DOD IT spending. At the heart of the military IT revolution is a move towards network centric operations, which will require people and technology to work together to enable timely access to information, information sharing and collaboration among all personnel.
