Datafeeds: getting easier and cheaper

Article Abstract:

US investors can more easily gain information on changes in share prices than can UK investors, but this situation is improving in the UK. Channel 4 offers a free and comprehensive Teletext services. Price data can also be downloaded to some investment software products through services like Financial Alert and Market Eye. Internet data is likely to allow some investors access to data from all over the world, as well as the UK, and charting services and online trading are likely to be developed.

Downloading from the Net

Article Abstract:

The Internet is a valuable source of information for UK investors who can try out investment software as well as obtaining financial data. UK software companies have not yet marketed their products to any great extent using the Internet, though this looks set to change. Investors are likely to find US products on the whole, when they use the Internet. Information from the financial press can also be downloaded though few companies have made annual reports available through the Internet.
