Digital's tangled headline

Article Abstract:

Mullen Advertising Inc's advertisement spread on Digital Equipment Corp's Network Application Support (NAS) needs some layout changes. It's challenging headline needs to be moved while the text needs a light background to make them easier to read. However, the ad has a dramatic picture of a construction worker who is about to fall. The text was also written in a friendly tone which emphasizes the efficiency of the NAS to help company lawyers in workmen's compensation cases.

Digital pumps life into marketing

Article Abstract:

DEC has injected black humor into its advertising campaign in a bid to recover from a loss of $131 million for the first quarter FY 1995 ended Oct. 1, 1994. Although doubts exist over the Maynard, MA-based company's financial performance for 1995, its TV spots are seen as a major turnaround for the conservative company. The commercials, for which a budget of $70 million has been allocated, were handled by Young and Rubicam of New York.
