Division may not achieve a profit for two years from 1995. The company's shares offer risks for investors but still represent good value in Aug 1995.

Calluna has a miniature disc drive which has met with strong demand, and distribution would be improved with a stronger partner. The company also supplies Hardwall, a device preventing data theft, virus disruption and corruption. Demand is increasing for this type of product. The company represents a high risk investment but could also offer good rewards.

Magnum Power: a constant outflow

Magnum Power floated in Aug 1994 and had a product seen as unique providing back-up power for computers in case of power cuts. The company's share price rose, but Magnum has had problems with the mass production of its products. There have also been problems over obtaining parts. The company has raised 7.8 million pounds sterling carrying out placings in the two years to Jul 1996. Magnum looks set to report a loss for 1996. An additional cash injection may be required.
