E.D. and F. Man: technical foul

Article Abstract:

E.D. and F. Man holds a 16% stake in the world market for sugar and this market is growing. The company's share price has not performed well and this is partly because employees and former employees held 40% of the stock following a flotation in 1994. There is concern that employees could sell too easily if the price of the shares rises. The shares are seen as undervalued by stockbrokers but the liquidity problem has to be tackled if the share price is to rise.
