Effects of different stress settings on cardiovascular parameters and their relationship to daily life blood pressure in normotensives, borderline hypertensives and hypertensives

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the effects of different stress settings on cardiovascular reactivity and recovery of normotensive, mild hypertensive and hypertensive individuals. Several subjects without cardiovascular and lipid metabolism treatment were classified in different blood pressure groups and were set in two stress settings with various tasks. Results showed that the subjects elicited similarities in their reactivity to various mental stressors. However, differences occurred in the recovery period after each stress setting where hypertensives could not recuperate.
