Enhancing quality by improving employee morale

Article Abstract:

High employee morale leads to significant performance improvement. A continuous quality improvement committee (CQI) at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine discovered that strategies intended to raise departmental morale should answer the need for better communication. They should also provide opportunities wherein the efforts and contributions of all members of the college will be recognized. Social functions are also needed to enhance working relationship and give employees a break from their work.
