Article Abstract:

MetaDesign, Germany's foremost graphic design company, has increased its clientele domestically and internationally and has started expanding its operations overseas. Its success is due to founder Erik Spiekermann's ability to convey his clients' message effectively to a target audience and at the same time inject novelty in his works. He finds challenge and fulfillment in assignments that require intense and careful designs and which call for problem solving skills. Under his direction, the company has steadily prospered and has also participated in rebuilding unified Germany through a project with the Berlin transportation system.

Seven days in August

Article Abstract:

Time Warner Inc will soon launch its interactive multimedia program entitled 'Seven Days in August.' The program seeks to provide a detailed analysis of the week covering Aug 10 to 16, 1961, during which the Berlin Wall was built. Each of the seven days are broken down into six segments that narrate the story from different perspectives. Live-action documentaries, real-time audio files and collage-like menus offer several options from which a user may exit from various segments. Several years were spent to research and produce the program, and approximately $1 million has been spent on the project.
