Europe: weakness in Germany keeps ECB on alert

Article Abstract:

The decision of the European Central Bank to cut interest rates by 50 basis points has brought the euro a new positive outlook now that lower interest rates can better absorb potential supply shocks.The European Central Bank may have to reduce the interest rates further in the wake of the weak German economy.

Will Yen weakness trigger intervention?

Article Abstract:

The valuation issues related to Japanese Yen are discussed. Last month, the currency fell to lowest ever against Euro. It is also at a 32 month low against the United States Dollar. The changes in monetary policy justified by this drop in currency value are also analyzed.

Asia: Japanese officials favor yen decline
