Exchange looks to a new order

Article Abstract:

The London Stock Exchange is likely to undergo major changes which could affect private investors. The chief executive of the exchange, Michael Lawrence, has left his post following attempts to bring about changes. His departure will not prevent developments such as an order-driven market. Small trades are not likely to find direct access easy with the new system. The stock exchange is asking for comments on proposals for a new system to replace or run by the side of the existing system.
