Exec-Amort can simplify OID calculations

Article Abstract:

Electrosonics' Exec-Amort software facilitates the analysis of loans and their resultant tax implications in a flexible, affordable and extensive manner. Tax professionals can use the loan amortization program in identifying the income inclusion or expense allowance when debt instruments are circulated at a discount or premium. Morever, Exec-Amort can be employed in determining the sum original issue discount (OID) of an instrument and amortize it over the life of the loan. The software is most useful for such OID measurements as yield calculations, zero-coupon bonds, adjustable interest rates and PIK bonds. The features of Exec-Amort include loan amortization, interest rate calculation, a built-in calculator, the capability to solve for unknown variables and report functions. The program is priced at $149.95 for individual users.
