FCS official: 'Spin-outs' to bring contractors more work

Article Abstract:

The Future Combat Systems (FCS) official has reported that the US Army's decision to 'spin-out' technologies from the FCS program to present force should increase production opportunities for those firms developing those systems. The Army is planning to deploy FCS-derived systems more incrementally and more widely, which translates to more work for the firms subcontracted to do the work.

RAND: Army should hedge terrorism uncertainties
