Forward group

Article Abstract:

Forward Group suffered a drop in share price following a profit warning relating to 2nd half 1996 to 1997. The company has been affected by delayed orders from Motorola and Nokia and other customers. Demand growth has slowed in 1996 for printed circuit boards and the company's sales will drop in Nov and Dec 1996. In addition, Forward Group's profit for 2nd half 1996 to 1997 will be affected by costs of reorganization and closure. The profit forecast for full-year 1996 to 1997 has been reduced to some 6 million pounds sterling from 13 million pounds, with a rise to 10 million pounds for 1998.
