Frequent short rest breaks from computer work: effects on productivity and well-being at two field sites

Article Abstract:

Frequent short breaks from prolonged computer-mediated work improve productivity and well being of small work site workers. However, large work site workers fail to show any improvement after taking short breaks. Short breaks including stretching exercises that improve eye, leg and foot comfort and the productivity of the workers at small work site. Short nap versus short rest: Recuperative effects during VDT work

Article Abstract:

The result of having a 20 minutes nap between two hours of visual display terminal (VDT) work is evaluated against having a 20 minutes rest between the VDT work. The outcome indicates that people who had a 20 minutes nap between the work, performed better in the latter one hour as against those who had just rested, thus a short nap is very useful to overcome and prevent fatigue.
