With the implementation of the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials, the era of bribery in the regulatory and legislative sphere ended, but the problem of bribery has not gone away. Businesses still receive requests for money from foreign officials. The handling of these requests is discussed.
