Gretag expands in Latin America; Miami office opens

Gretag Imaging opened an office in Miami, FL, on Aug. 18, 1998 to mark expansion of its services to Latin America. The newest Gretaq office will fully handle marketing, sales and service activities for the company's line of minilab and microlab processors and imaging products in the region. Jonah Pruitt, Gretaq Imaging, Latin America vice president and managing director, said the firm is committed towards enhancing its growth in the area and become a major provider of the equipment to customers in the area. Gretaq Imaging fostered growth of on-site processing in the US with the trend expected to be duplicated worldwide.

Toshiro Shimoyama receives PMA Hall of Fame Award

Olympus Optical Ltd Chmn and CEO Toshiro Shimoyama has been chosen recipient of the 2000 Hall of Fame Award given by the Photo Marketing Assn International (PMA). He is recognized for his exemplary success in advancing the photo imaging industry. Shimoyama was inducted into the PMA Hall of Fame during the opening ceremonies of the PMA 2000 Convention and Trade Show held in Las Vegas, NV.
