Hame Babice buys new pate production

Article Abstract:

Hame (Babice, Czech Republic), food products firm, has bought the cooled pate producer Pastyrka (Prague, Czech Republic). It has been the firm's seventh acquisition since 1995. Pastyrka saw a turnover of about CEK 150 mil per year and had 100 employees before the acquisition. Hame has transferred the pate manufacturing to Babice. It will be moved to Kunovice, the Czech Republic, by the summer of 2001. The firm will invest CEK 45 mil in Kunovice. Hame saw proceeds of CEK 483 mil for Jan-Feb/2001, 13% more compared to the same period in 2000. About 50% of the proceeds for Jan-Feb/2001 were represented by meat products and the rest by vegetable and tomato puree products. Hame launched fruit syrups in 2000 and supplies 32 kinds of syrups currently. It has about 1,800 employees.

Alukola with a profit

Article Abstract:

Hayes Lemmerz Alukola (HLA) (Ostrava, Czech Republic), aluminium car wheel manufacturer, generated a net profit of CEK 114 mil in 2000. In 1999 the firm saw a loss of CEK 22.7 mil. Its proceeds rose to CEK 962.9 mil in 2000 compared to CEK 152 mil in 1999. About 50% of HLA's production is taken by the automotive company Skoda Auto (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic) and another 50% is intended for Ford cars. HLA will start supplies to the concern Volkswagen (Germany) from May 2001.

Tchibo Praha doubled its profit in 2000

Tchibo Praha (Prague, Czech Republic), coffee products company, doubled its profit to CEK 109 mil in 2000 compared to 1999. The firm's proceeds rose by 14.5% to CEK 1.9 bil in 2000 compared to 1999. The company has a 27% share on the Czech market. It has a stock of CEK 777 mil and 270 employees. It is the follower institution of three companies, which were owned by its parent firm in the Czech Republic. Its parent firm is Tchibo, Frisch-Roest-Kafee (Germany).
