Winchester Multimedia is a UK company which produces cartoons and motion pictures. The company was set up in 1993, and is building up a portfolio of rights to movies, cartoons, toys and other goods. The company has also produced a television series for children. A further two movies are scheduled to start prior to year-end 1995. The company will release a motion picture called Rainbow at Christmas 1995, and its success will be significant for Winchester Media, while failure will mean the loss of its stake.

Novo's bit part fails to deliver happy ending

Article Abstract:

Novo provides storage services for the motion picture industry and distributes film prints. The company's film storage division reported a rise in profit to 1.62 million pounds sterling for 1995 to 1996 compared with 1.4 million for the previous year, with a rise in turover of 10% to 8.68 million pounds in this period. The distribution division reported a rise in profit despite a drop in turnover for the above period. North America accounts for some 36% of Novo's business.

Novo has three main activities. The company provides film archive storage, an activity that should benefit from an increase in TV channels. Novo also provides transportation for feature films, and is involved in data-storage, mainly of back-up data for large New York financial organizations. The company's profit is forecast at 3.8 million pounds sterling for 1997 by UBS, and Novo has a string cash flow with no debt, and is recommended to investors.
