A brief review on the UK government's announcement of a single farm payment (SFP) subsidy, that would offer farmers a lump sum from the government, between 12,000 pounds to 15,000 pounds a year, for looking after their land is done. The farmers however did not appreciate the impact it would have on their cash flow as well as the overall performance of their performance.
