Incyte Pharmaceuticals

Article Abstract:

Incyte Pharmaceuticals Inc., a marketer and developer of genomic database products, has been faring quite favorably on the stock market after the company's announcement of break-even earnings for the third quarter of 1996. However, investors, including insiders, remain wary. In particular three company executives have disposed of substantial amounts of stock. These are Director Jeffrey Collinson, Pres. Roy Whitfield and Officer and Director Randal W. Scott.

REITs: insiders continue to develop their positions

Article Abstract:

Real estate investment trusts (REIT) are emerging as attractive investments. Among other advantages, REITs are increasingly being seen as the ideal protection against inflation. Insiders are among those who are showing renewed interest in REITs. REITs that are experiencing substantial insider activity include Bay Apartment Communities, Burnham Pacific Property, Mills Corp., The Macerich, Sizelor Property Investors and G&L Realty Corp.

Insider traders at the Apartment Investment and Management Co. continued to exploit buying opportunities despite the increases in share prices. The months of Jan. and Feb. of 1997 saw the acquisition of a total of 20,475 Class A shares valued at $26 to $27 each. Some of the company officials involved in these deals include VP Harry Alcock, VP Patricia Heath and VP Lee Ann Morein.
