Influence and assessment of heat radiation

Article Abstract:

The stress parameter heat radiation refers to extreme heat radiation intensities that appear briefly and are insignificant in the stress-strain relationship. Steradiometer, a sensor developed for unidirectional heat radiation measurement yields results that vary with air velocity and ambient temperature. Direct effects of heat radiation can be avoided by the use of reflective heat insulating clothing. Under high metabolic heat production conditions, reduced heat exchange leads to strain.

Applying image descriptors to the assessment of legibility in Chinese characters

Article Abstract:

Seven descriptors from the pixel matrix of 5401 Chinese characters in the commonly used Ming, Kai, Li, and Hei fonts were derived. The only significant factor in predicting the legibility threshold for each individual font is the number of strokes.
