Is the U.S. stock market myopic?

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the state of the US stock market are examined, focusing on whether market myopia exists because short-term earings are overvalued and long-term earnings are undervalued. Topics include an accounting-based valuation model, trading strategy, and conclusion that there is little evidence of market myopia.
