Issey Miyake: the third way

Article Abstract:

Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake focuses on making clothes that reflect the wearer's personality regardless of age, shape and size while bridging the gap between East and West, past and present and present and future. His designs embody the two-dimensional pattern of the japanese kimono fused with a three-dimensional draping technique learned in France. Ultimately, Miyake's clothes are given form and shape by their wearer.
