LLML celebrates a record result and goes on investing

Lecebne lazne Marianske Lazne (LLML) (Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic), spa treatment firm, rose its proceeds by 16.5% to CEK 502.5 mil in 2000 compared to 1999, due to an increase in its capacities. Its proceeds for accommodation, catering and treatment totalled CEK 490 mil in 2000. Its proceeds from foreign guests increased by 23% in 2000 compared to 1999. The proceeds represented nearly 75% of the firm's total proceeds for health treatment care. The firm's gross profit increased by roughly CEK 70 mil to CEK 99.8 mil in 2000 compared to 1999. The health treatment firm increased its capacity by 50 beds in 2000. Its capacity should further increase during the next few year. The firm's investments in the modernization of its accommodation facilities were CEK 68 mil and its investments in repairs CEK 30 mil in 2000. LLML would like to invest more than CEK 1 bil in the modernization and enlargement of its capacities by 2005 at the latest. LLML has more than a 95% majority stake held by Danubius Hotels (Hungary), which is the largest European spa facility operator.

Gtech invests hundreds of millions of Czech crowns in Sazka

Article Abstract:

Sazka (Prague, Czech Republic), betting and lottery firm, will increase the number of its on-line terminals to 8,250 by the end of 2003 compared to the current 5,300 pieces. Finances for the investment will be ensured by Gtech (US), which plans to increase its investments in the Czech Republic by USD 12 mil, CEK 460 mil during 2002-2003. The company invested nearly USD 56 mil in the Czech Republic till 2000.
