Lockheed chooses United Technologies to power MMA

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corp. announced, that it would choose two units of United Technologies Corp., namely, Pratt & Whitney, which would make a variant of its PWA 150A engine for the MMA aircraft, Orion21, and Hamilton Sundstrand which would make the propeller control system for the Orion21. For all this to occur, Lockheed, will have to win the MMA system development and demonstration contract from the Navy in an award set for June.

Lockheed leads in DOD, navy contracts in 2003

Article Abstract:

According to the annual survey by the Department of Defense Directorate for Information Operations and Reports in 2003, Lockheed Martin Corp. remained the largest defense contractor followed by The Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman Corp. Lockheed has also increased its defense contracting awards by nearly half in two years.
