Lockheed seeks $5 billion Joint Common Missile prize

Article Abstract:

The U.S. armed forces are in the process of developing the new Joint Common Missiles for installation on platforms like the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the Apache helicopter. The author reports that Lockheed Martin Corporation along with the Raytheon Company, the Boeing Company and the Northrop Grumman Corporation are in the race to win the $5 billion contract for the production of 54,000 JCM weapons.

Lockheed Martin System nails Scud-type target

Article Abstract:

A Lockheed Martin Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) anti-ballistic missile successfully shot down a Patriot-As-A-Target (PAAT), a Scud look-alike. Lockheed have contracts totaling $505 million for PAC-3 Missile production for replacing missiles exhausted during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
