Lockheed sees bright future in Navy, Coast Guard programs

Working in the DD(X) destroyer program, placing control systems and anti-ballistic missiles on ships, or building one version of the future Littoral Combat Ship is proving beneficial for Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Maritime Systems & Sensors unit. President of the division, Fred Moosally, stated that the company has successfully completed Preliminary Design Review for the Advanced Hawkeye radar.

Lockheed juggles figures on U.S. content of helicopter

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corp. announced that the proposed US101 helicopter would be ninety percent manufactured in the United States, measured in dollars, for the presidential transport mission. A rival team led by Sikorsky Aircraft, a unit of United Technologies Corp., has offered the VH-92 helicopter, for the same purpose, which will be hundred percent made in the United States.

V-22 Osprey pilots to receive cross-training in planes, helicopters

Article Abstract:

Pilots are not permitted to fly the V-22 Osprey tilt rotor aircraft until they are given full training in airplanes and helicopters. Osprey program has sought to ensure that when Marine Corps, Air force and Navy pilots fly the V-22, they will do so in a safe manner that they don't push the Osprey beyond its limits.
