Massive promotion to support "rugrats" video

Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite and Paramount Pictures Corp are launching DVD and videocassette versions of The Rugrats Movie, with the backing of a marketing initative that comprises partnerships with Campbell's, Lincoln-Mercury and Mott's. Each specially-market videocassette include an instant-win, scratch-off game piece that enables consumers to win a Villager mini-van, while Mott's is offering the Rugrats Movie inflatable chair for every purchase of three Mott's products, or one Mott's product and the Rugrats Movie video. In addition, a label burst can be found in 24 million specially marked Campbell's Soup cans, featuring one of the six various collectible, under-the-label 3D scenes from The Rugrats Movie.

Promo supports "Babe" home video release

Article Abstract:

Universal Studios Home Video is rolling out the "Babe: Pig In The City" home video, backed by a promotional initiative. Under partnerships with various sponsors, buyers or prospective buyers of the video and associated merchandise can avail of several prizes, including a $3 mail-in rebate from Jel Sert Company; a $2 discount from Aunt Jemima Frozen Breakfast Products; and a free "Babe and Friends Early Reader" CD-ROM from Sound Source Interactive. The home video is also supported by point-of-purchase materials, such as posters, two-sided standees, buttons and merchandising units.
