Mental effects of caffeine in fatigued and non-fatigued female and male subjects

Article Abstract:

Performance of fatigued and non-fatigued subjects randomly given a placebo or caffeineand then asked to do an auditive attention task, visual coding task and Raven progressive matrices revealed that the effects of drug treatment on the level of performance was insignificant but the subjective effort of performing auditive task increased in the placebo-treated subjects. A substantial correlation existed between sex of the subjects and treatment with respect to subjective effort of performing the matrices task.

Tracking ability in subjects symptomatic of cumulative trauma disorder: does it relate to disability?

Article Abstract:

Research describing the assessment of a manual tracking task as an indicator of symptoms associated with cumulative trauma disorders is presented. The relationship between disability and tracking performance is also examined.
