Morris steps into breach after ICAEW 'tempest'

Article Abstract:

The outgoing ICAEW president Ian Morris extended his year-long tenure by a further six months after controversy arose over president-elect Durgan's Emile Woolf International (EWI) being awarded the 'recommended supplier status' by the institute for ACA training in Russia and China. The ICAEW denied that the series of events mentioned at the June 2006 meeting of the institute's council as a 'tempest' that damaged its reputation and reiterated that they only enhanced its integrity.
