Article Abstract:

Tracor Systems Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $34,291,204 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide the systems integration effort for the submarine launched ballistic missile modernization program, TRIDENT I extended refit period/recertification test program, maintenance of TRIDENT I SSBNs (ship submersible ballistic nuclear), consolidated support ship, Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) and ER wharves, the TRIDENT II ships and the Tomahawk, TLAM-N (Tomahawk land attack missile-nuclear) operations at SWFLANT and SWFPAC. In addition, the contractor will provide systems integration and start-up support for D5 backfit and Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty support. Work will be performed in Rockville, Md., and is expected to be completed September 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $27,819,319 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-99-C-0022).

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $5,312,200 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for necessary materials to add strategic weapons systems backfit missile training capability for the strategic weapons at the TRIDENT Training Facility in Bangor. The contract will design, develop, manufacture, install and test hardware and software in the Segmented Missile, Training Launcher and Missile Control Center Laboratories. Work will be performed in Cocoa Beach, Fla. (70%), and Bangor, Wash. (30%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-99-C-0006).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Launching Systems, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $6,836,942 cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-5316 to provide design agent engineering efforts to support ongoing product improvements and new missile incorporations, as well as continued design agent engineering support, for the electronics, computer software, and system integration aspects of the MK 41 vertical launching system. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md., and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
