Article Abstract:

Boeing North American, Inc., Anaheim, Calif., is being awarded a $45,620,000 fixed-price-incentive, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide material and technical support services in support of TRIDENT I (C4) and TRIDENT II (D5) necessary to conduct an inertial equipment repair program for the ships inertial navigation system, electrostatically supported gyro monitors (ESGM) and electrostatically supported gyro navigators (ESGN) and related components. Boeing will also provide materials and technical support services for refurbishment/conversion of ESGNs, fabrication of ESG spinners, fabrication of electronic equipment console refurbishment/conversion material/assemblies and spares. Work will be performed in Anaheim, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $28,963,799 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-99-C-0011).

General Dynamics Defense Systems, Pittsfield, Mass., is being awarded a $15,950,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract with incentives for cost, performance and schedule. This contract will provide for an alteration to the TRIDENT fire control MK 98 Mod 4/5 system. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-98-G-0051).
