New tanker critical, Wynne says

Article Abstract:

US Air Force Secretary, Michael Wynne, believes that in spite of budgetary constraints it is imperative that the Air Force acquires a new aerial refueling tanker so that it can maintain the required global reach and global strike capabilities. The tight fiscal times are making acquisition choices difficult for the US military forces and the Air Force is faced with tough decisions regarding its acquisition programs including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters (JSF).
