Non-profit organizations are marketing challenged too?

Article Abstract:

The majority of nonprofit entities also engage in the business of service and therefore confront and must address a number of marketing issues some of which are quite interesting. These unique marketing challenges include the skewed exchange process which has resulted in a more pronounced assessment on the spending habits of these nonprofit entities. Further, the scrutiny placed on the spending habits of these entities is sometimes accompanied by a greater sense of ownership among donors.

Services marketing: taking a principled stand

Article Abstract:

A list of guiding principles in marketing is presented to serve as reminders to seasoned marketers or as a guide for students of marketing. Basically, the message in marketing is to give the customers what they want, and that human relationships and the cultivation of such determine the success of a marketer. A good marketing manager inculcates the value of good service and customer satisfaction to his employees.

How powerful is empowerment?

Article Abstract:

Employee empowerment has been conceived to minimize problems regarding customer dissatisfaction and complaints. However, a research conducted regarding interactions between customers and service employees revealed the deficiencies of this concept. Employees are more likely to provide better service to customers with similar personality, age, or other characteristics.
