Not bomb-proof, but still a good long-term prospect

Article Abstract:

The internet was designed to survive a nuclear attack, and internet telephony should provide help if telecommunications cease to function, and could benefit from year 2000 computer transition problems. America Online and Yahoo! are possible stocks for investors looking to the long term. They have been affected by adverse sentiment in relation to internet stocks, though they have also rallied. The timing of the investment is important. Yahoo! shows strong fundamentals, though it is not possible to make a traditional valuation.
