Now is the time for CAs as PM

Article Abstract:

A survey conducted by the executive search firm Caldwell Partners Amrop International revealed that Canada's two chartered accountants were considered competent enough to become prime ministers. Noranda Forest Inc Chairman Adam Zimmerman and Bombardier Inc CEO Laurent Beaudoin were among those in the list of business leaders who respondents thought would make good leaders. The respondents were CEOs and senior corporate officers which represented major Canadian industrial firms.

Article Abstract:

The seventh year of the Bank of Scotland Financial Director of the Year Awards is crucial as the pressure on financial directors (FDs) to play a greater role in managing companies has never been more important. FDs should be able to help their companies as they evolve into an international organization. Added functions may include dealing with various time zones, cultures, languages and policies.

Article Abstract:

A survey of 1000 Canadian taxpayers reveals that there are four categories of taxpayers classified according to their attitudes towards taxpaying. The 'model citizens' type of taxpayers and 'upset and nervous' taxpayers comprise 29% each while 'honest but resentful' taxpayers and 'tax anarchists' comprise 27% and 14% respectively. The survey reveals contrasting attitudes of Canadian taxpayers.
