Are they really all that super?

Article Abstract:

The dissatisfactory results of hedge funds in 2004 have led to the view that the returns on these investments may have been grossly overestimated. The accuracy of statistics related to past hedge fund returns is also being doubted. According to a paper released by Princeton University Professor Burton Malkiel and Atanu Saha of Analysis Group Inc., hedge fund returns have been overstated by 400 points, much higher than previous figures.
