No more dunning days: more companies are automating collections, especially as the Internet grows

Article Abstract:

More firms are adopting automated systems at their credit and collection departments which enable electronic handling of transactions such as credit analysis, credit-decision making, and credit reporting. The use of credit software saves the firm in terms of a leaner and more maximized staff and costs. Software companies including Dun and Bradstreet and GetPAID have products which accomodate credit and collection and payments. Automated systems also have the advantage of quicker updates on payments and accounts receivables than traditional mailing methods.

Treasury executives are confronted with the difficult task of choosing from a wide array of products the best financial accounting software. Such situation exists as financial accounting software vendors, such as Oracle, Navision Software and Lawson Software, try to integrate into their products enterprise resource planning capability. The selection process become even more harder as mid-market tries to offer a vast array of solutions for users.
